The Stories They Tell

Rune embarks on a rescue mission to find her missing father. Her journey through a wintry forest is fraught with dread and unease. Something seems to watch her from the ice cold shadows. Confused and lost, she happens upon a strange village made up of black, crooked buildings. Even more strange are the villagers themselves; people who sing frightening songs around an evergreen tree about a mysterious creature that haunts the woods.

The all too perfect and happy people of the town raise Rune’s suspicions about her father's whereabouts. In her quest, Rune sets into motion a chilling sequence of events that not only upends her world but connects her to the secrets of the townsfolk.

Misfortune continues to stalk the village, but Rune isn’t about to give up. As she digs deeper and deeper, she discovers a slew of disappearances credited to this “imaginary” creature. If she doesn’t find the true culprit first, she may not only lose her father, but her own life as well.

Reina and Meiryn only want to begin anew in southern, shining Ashuma, unburdened by the cruelty they’ve suffered in Ver Signia. But when Reina is wrongly accused of setting a fire-breathing dragon upon a woodland city, plans for escape go by the wayside.

Now captive to the dragon slayers of the Silver Order, a ghost from Reina’s past unwittingly throws her down a path that causes her to awaken a storm dragon’s lethal power—one that was always hers to wield. But Reina must hide this ancient magic from the Order’s watchful eye, or she risks becoming the kingdom’s newest target.

Meiryn has always sought comfort and security in the company of others, but Reina’s capture forces her to seek the help of the Hunters Guild, roguish rivals to the Silver Order. However, plans of rescue quickly fall to a darker scheme of vengeance as Meiryn watches the heroes of her childhood night tales become the very force that stops her from saving her friend.

Traitors' Creed

Truth makes traitors out of even the most dutiful.

Zanteera Island has a secret: it has two prisons. Vana, the one the world knows and fears, and an unnamed compound lined with comforts.

Serving her National Duty at Vana’s secret counterpart, Luka Brideoake doesn’t question the unorthodox disciplinary system, or the VIP status of the criminals. But when the Warden offers her a prestigious new assignment in Parliament, she starts to see the prison and its inmates in an uncomfortable new light.

Then, her childhood best friend and his brother show up sentenced to Vana, and Luka is forced to go against every rule she’s upheld to seek a dangerous new ally. All the while, the Warden’s cryptic advice suggests a political web far bigger than Luka could have imagined.

As inmates start to die and the authorities move in, her path intersects with a man as enigmatic as he is powerful. But how much of the life Luka thought she wanted is she prepared to trade…for the truth?

Traitors’ Creed is an open door adult fantasy romance with forced proximity, political intrigue, and found family.

I acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples. I am thankful to those of the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples who have--and continue to--care for these lands here and across the province. To this day, Indigenous people in this region and beyond continue to face oppression, inequality, and violence as a result of historic and ongoing colonialism. Though these lands are protected by the Dish with One Spoon agreement, settlers and institutions continue to fail to uphold their responsibilities. In order to change, we must understand the gruesome history and stand in allyship with Indigenous peoples through action.
